How it works
- Start by creating a plan: Simply define what members get, for how long, and what they see if they’re not a member.
- Choose what it restricts: A plan can control access to posts, pages, products, categories or tags (and bbPress topics, if you run bbPress).
- Sell it: Link the plan to a product, or to something you already sell.
- Members redeem: Each plan purchase issues a voucher code, redeemed from a Redeem a Voucher tab in My Account. Their term starts when they redeem it.

Gate any post, page, product, category or tag behind a plan. Non-members see a teaser (a short message or an excerpt that fades out) and you choose how much they see before they join.
Members-only products
Keep restricted products visible but not purchasable, as a taste of what membership unlocks, or hide them entirely so only members know they exist.
Automatic member discounts
A percentage or fixed amount off, store-wide or on chosen products and categories. No coupon codes. Members simply see the lower price.
Drip-fed content
Release content on a schedule based on the day each member joined, not the day you published it.
Giftable memberships
Because every purchase issues a voucher, a membership can be bought for someone else, and guest checkout works exactly as before.
Works with WooCommerce Subscriptions — or without it
Want recurring billing? Pro Memberships follows WooCommerce Subscriptions’ own status changes and never touches billing. Don’t need it? One-off purchases work on their own.

Do I need WooCommerce Subscriptions?
Memberships can be sold as ordinary one-off purchases without adding WooCommerce Subscriptions. If you want recurring billing, Pro Memberships works with WooCommerce Subscriptions when it’s installed.
Will it change my checkout?
No. Checkout is untouched — there is no forced account creation, and guest checkout still works.
Can I give a membership as a gift?
Yes. Each purchase issues a voucher code that the recipient redeems from My Account.
What happens when a member’s access ends?
They see the same teaser as any non-member. Nothing is deleted.
Does it protect content in the REST API as well as on the page?
Yes. Restricted posts and hidden products are protected there too.
Is this an alternative to the WooCommerce Memberships extension from the WooCommerce Marketplace?
