Installation

Pricing Analyser is installed like any standard WordPress plugin.

Requirements

Before installing Pricing Analyser, make sure that:

  • WordPress is installed and working normally
  • WooCommerce is installed
  • you have an administrator account with permission to install plugins

Pricing Analyser can be activated without WooCommerce, but its settings and analytics screens are only available when WooCommerce is installed.

Install from a zip file

To install Pricing Analyser from a zip file:

  1. In WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New Plugin.
  2. Click Upload Plugin.
  3. Choose the pricing-analyser.zip file.
  4. Click Install Now.
  5. When installation is complete, click Activate Plugin.

After activation

Once the plugin has been activated, you can access it in the following ways:

  • WooCommerce → Analytics → Pricing Analyser
Takes you to the Analytics area, where you review recommendations and product performance. We call this the Dashboard.
  • WooCommerce → Settings → Pricing Analyser or
WooCommerce → Settings → Togethernet Suite → Pricing Analyser (if you have multiple Togethernet Suite add-ons active)
Takes you to Pricing Analyser’s Settings area, where you configure boundaries, rounding, interest filtering, history window and daily briefing options.

Pricing Analyser also adds its own panel to the product edit screen, where you can review product-specific analytics and manage floor and ceiling prices.

First steps after installation

After installing the plugin, the recommended first steps are:

  1. Open WooCommerce → Settings → Pricing Analyser.
  2. Review the boundary pricing and rounding settings.
  3. Decide whether you want to use floor prices to calculate margins.
  4. Configure the history window and daily briefing options.
  5. Open WooCommerce → Analytics → Pricing Analyser to review the dashboard.
  6. Create your first pricing rule.

Troubleshooting

If Pricing Analyser does not appear after activation:

  • check that WooCommerce is installed and active
  • make sure your user account has permission to manage WooCommerce
  • refresh the admin screen and check the WooCommerce Analytics menu again

If you have only just installed WooCommerce as well as Pricing Analyser, it may help to refresh the admin area once WooCommerce has completed activation.

If you don’t see any pricing recommendations:

Recommendations may not appear straight away. Recommendations are based on data collected from store activity over a number of days.

Next step

Next, follow the Quick Start guide to configure Pricing Analyser and create your first rule.
